2026 Toyota Hilux launched at Rs 31.99 lakh: New features, 4x2 trim & more

Talking about the powertrain, the Hilux is powered by the same 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 204hp and 500Nm. It comes paired only with a six-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. Toyota has also introduced a rear-wheel-drive (4x2) variant alongside the four-wheel-drive (4x4) versions. The 4x4 variants continue with a low-range transfer case, an electronic differential lock, multiple terrain modes, downhill assist control, traction control and an auto limited-slip differential.
